This is something an unfortunate amount of people refuse to understand.

… the human cosmopolis at large, and that therefore a Stoic would very much want to follow the news. But a concern that does not lead to action is an idle one, and results mostly in the concerned individual becoming upset and frustrated by things they cannot do anything about.
Maybe go on a news diet??
