I'm not sure I agree with your analysis.

You say that population growth is bad for the world in the short term, but good in the long term. I think that's only true if we're talking about a world that is static and unchanging, one where technology and innovation don't move forward. But as you know, our world isn't static: it's changing constantly—and quickly!
