Exposing the Hidden Agenda of Economic Hitmen: How Corporations and Governments Use Financial Tactics to Influence and Exploit
Economic hitmen are individuals who use financial and economic strategies to influence governments and corporations on behalf of their clients.
These tactics, which often operate in the shadows and rely on deceit and manipulation, can have significant consequences for both the target countries and the global economy.
One key figure in the world of economic hitmen is John Perkins, a former economic hitman who wrote about his experiences in a book called “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.”
According to Perkins, economic hitmen are hired by large corporations and sometimes even governments to persuade other countries to accept infrastructure projects that serve the interests of the hiring party, rather than the needs of the target country.
These projects often come with high levels of debt, which the target country must then struggle to pay back.
In some cases, economic hitmen will use threats or coercion to achieve their goals.
For example, they may threaten to cut off foreign aid or investment if a country does not agree to the terms offered.
